Eadweard Muybridge: The Gates of Time

This composite image was created using media generated in the process of making the film "Tesseract." In the animation sequences, I used over 2,000 original images, photographed by Eadweard Muybridge in the 1880's. While editing the film, I would leave my laptop running, letting Photoshop try to make panoramas out of these images. With some tinkering, I got the software to create crystalline like structures. Their distorted, associative structures remind me of memory, and their contortions evoke for me the stresses of completing this meticulous film.
